I tried every worksheet service I could find.

My kids needed more math practice, so I did what most parents do: I went looking. Every service fell short in its own way.

• Ads everywhere. Hard to keep a child’s eyes on the math.
• A maze of menus. It took click after click to find the right set of problems.
• The same PDFs, forever. A few dozen fixed problem sets that never change.
• Answers on a separate sheet. Questions and answers printed apart, so checking meant flipping between two pages.

None of them was something I was happy to put in front of my children. So I stopped looking for the right tool, and started building it.

The worksheet I wanted for my own kids.

I wanted to choose what my kids needed to practice, set the difficulty, and print a clean worksheet. When they needed more practice, I wanted fresh questions, without another search through a library of PDFs. That became the worksheet generator in MathFun.

I also wanted checking to be easier. The answers sit along a fold-away strip on the same page. Fold it behind the worksheet while your child works, then unfold it to check each row. One page to print, keep, and check.

Then I added a reason to ask for more.

Claire and Jeffrey love Roblox and games like it: two players, head to head, and the score settles it. That made me wonder. If they’ll battle over anything, why not over math?

So I added Battle alongside the worksheets. Both players get the same problems on their own screens, and whoever answers more of them correctly, and faster, wins. On the very first day, Claire and Jeffrey battled back to back for a full hour.

So I opened it up to everyone.

Some days call for a worksheet and a pencil. Other days, a friendly battle gets the practice going. I built MathFun to make both easy, and opened it up so other families could use it too.

The worksheets and battles are free to use, need no account, and have no ads, which is exactly how I’d want it for my own children.
