Division with Remainders Quiz
About this quiz
Divide whole numbers and give both the quotient and the remainder. Every problem leaves a remainder.
- Choose divisors up to 9, up to 12, or up to 25.
- Answer 10, 20, or 30 flash cards, one at a time, while a timer runs.
- At the end, review your score, time, and every mistake, then practice just the cards you missed.
- For Grades 4–5 · Common Core 4.NBT.B.6, 5.NBT.B.6
Worked example
29 ÷ 4 = 7 R 1
4 × 7 = 28, and 29 − 28 = 1 is left over.
Tip: The remainder is always smaller than the divisor; if it is not, the quotient can go up by one.
